Award-winning Board Game "Tsuro" makes a path to iOS and Android
Thunderbox Flips the Table on Board Game Apps

Thunderbox Entertainment, in collaboration with Calliope Games, is thrilled to announce Tsuro, their first
board game app for iOS and Android.
Based on the award-winning family favorite of the same name, Tsuro offers you all the path-building
excitement of the tabletop game, on your mobile device.
As huge fans of the board game, Thunderbox Entertainment originally reached out to Calliope Games
with an on spec demo, showing how great Tsuro could look on mobile.
"It was important to me that the soul of the game wasn't lost in Tsuro's transition from the table to the
tablet" comments Ray Wehrs, President of Calliope Games. "Of all the developers who approached us
looking to turn Tsuro into an app, Thunderbox proved to be uniquely qualified to enhance the game
digitally while maintaining the feel and experience of playing around the table."
Every part of the game has been lovingly recreated in full 3D, so Tsuro players get the most authentic
experience possible: from the first moment you swipe open the box, to the last tile you place on the
board.
"Touch screens and board games are a perfect match," remarks Dan Taylor, the Creative Director of
Thunderbox Entertainment. "We're able to create immersion via a tactile interface focused on interacting
with the game pieces, rather than pressing buttons. When you play Tsuro on your tablet or phone, it
should feel exactly like you have the real thing sitting right there in front of you... we even want to recreate
the anticipation of opening up the box!"
Thunderbox knows that the physically tangible nature of board gaming is only one part of the equation:
the real fun comes from playing with (and crushing) your friends...
"We wanted to be able to recreate the fun of playing Tsuro with friends, and bring it to the tablet and
smartphone landscape," says Jules Morgan, co-founder of Thunderbox Entertainment. "Our friends and
family are scattered around the globe; we wanted to continue being able to challenge each other
wherever we were, regardless of time zone! Tsuro's multiplayer options allow us to connect at any time,
either around the table after dinner, or on the bus."
And those aren't the only tricks up Thunderbox's sleeve - you can expect plenty of other enhancements
to the Tsuro experience when it hits iOS and Android devices, of all shapes and sizes, early next year...
