Cork Community Games
FUN & SUN NATIONALS at ATHLONE
On Friday last National President Higgins opened the National
Community games finals (weekend 1) with aplomb at Athlone IT
witnessed by many of the 2600 participants from 32 counties.
Participation is supreme and all who competed were winners in their own
right. Sean Ryan Mitchelstown 10 years old won a bronze for under 14
solo disco dancing.

National Community Games at Athlone IT last weekend. All enjoyed
their excursion despite feeling a few butterflies before their daunting
events which for most was their first experience outside the county.

COUNTY FINALS
The county pitch and putt u16 finals took place on last Saturday at
Fermoy. Fermoy won the boys competition with Enniskeane retained the
girls title. They will represent Cork in Athlone on August 23rd.
Carrigtwohill will represent Cork in Munster’s on July 14th at University
of Limerick in Rounder’s U15 and Skittles U12 having qualified at the
county finals in Carrigtwohill Saturday last.
Saturday June 9th sees under 10 mixed football in Glanmire, U11 mini
rugby in Fermoy whilst on Sunday June 10 sees U11/14 Tag rugby in
Kinsale and girls Basketball U13/16 in Christ the King school, Turners
