SECRETARY
Season Summary of 2011-2012, we had a very bad report on Discipline within the team, we had 7 yellow cards and 1 Red Card last season so we
need to avoid this behavior within the team as we are not that sort of team. This season we have to avoid the yellow cards we keep picking up so
we can be show the league that we are well run club with very high Discipline as a team.
This year I want more fundraising events to bring in more money as a club so we can buy the facilities we need, i.e. new footballs, Training, kit,
medical accessories, water bottles, bibs and cones for training. We had 1 fundraising event all last year which was the regular Harlow Dogs Night
which is a good evening but as a team we let ourselves down by only selling 27 tickets out of the potential 50 we are given. We only made £135.00
which is a £365.00 loss because realistically it’s a potential £500.00 we can make on this event. We had talks of a Big Raffle which Alan was happy
to donate some prizes he had at home and also the big prize of having his Apartment in Portugal for 1 Week but this was not pushed any further.
The more fundraising events we hold the more money we bring into the club. If we can all think of ideas on what you think we are a good
opportunity to make money for the club come and see me and we will do our best to make it happen. The end of the day the more money we put
into the club, the less you would have to pay as signing on fees and training facilities.
I have arranged 7 friendlies to make more money for the club as we have to pay for Pitch Fees which is increased to £1000.00 this year and £220.00
for putting our team into the constitution for 2012-2013 on Monday 25th June. This would also help us kick start the season when it starts on 19th
August to give enough time to prepare ourselves and bring in the new potential players who want to sign to get them to know the team and try
people in the team of the preferred positions, etc. These friendlies are for all of us to start gelling as a team and play the football we all know how
as a team and punish teams who we know we can beat in the coming season.
The constitution for 2012-2013 consists of 8 teams for the new season which 4 are the same Parsloe a, Harbets Old Boys A, Cottingham and
Ashfield Albion, 1 team Joga Bonita which got relegated from Division 4 last year which lost all there games and 2 New teams Grove & Hove Fc and
Fc Flare Reserves.
I have given out a booklet to everyone to read of the different option of Club Insurance which a few players got injured last year and was off work
for some time and not getting paid so it’s very important we get a club insurance for this year which the Package which covers everything, broken
bones, dislocated bones, Physiotherapy for sports injuries, etc. costs £380.00 so for us to pay for this we need to make sure we can get a couple of
sponsors, need to make sure we do more Fundraising events and make them successful like we spoke about earlier.
Match days we need to make sure everyone turns up on time rather than some individuals turning up 10 minutes before kick off because this
sometimes disrupts the team if Alan has to make changes to his team selection. We need to share responsibilities like 1 half of the team putting the
nest up and the other half of the team taking the nets down straight after the game rather than walking off the pitch and getting changed and
going home. I feel we should set up as a team and prepare ourselves before the games by doing team drills, warm ups, shooting practice, team
talks, etc. and then going home as a team. We lacked a lot of team spirit last year and feel this played a big part in our lack of achievement in the
last 4 years getting the promotion out of the Division.
Equipment is pretty straight forward for us, we moan about lack of equipment but again we need the funds to pay for these i.e. Footballs, kit, pegs
for the nets, Refills for the medical bag, cones and Water Bottles, etc. This is where all the Fundraising events and sponsors need to be taken more
serious as a team to get everything we need throughout the season.
With regards to players who have committed themselves for season 2012-2013 there was only one player I regret to announce that Steve Hannam
has left the club because he felt he was holding us back in promotion because he felt he was not good enough for our team. He felt because of his
age and only has a couple of seasons left in himself he wanted to join another team who was likely not going to get promoted.
Last of all Sponsors, Bruce’s work has sponsored us since we formed as a club and can’t keep asking them so we need more ideas to get new
sponsors to help finance the club to reduce your club fees for matches, training and signing one Fees so if any of you have any ideas please come to
myself, Bruce and Alan and we will act on these to progress them.
TREASURERS REPORT
Summary of accounts last year we paid out a total of £2882.57 which was for the following, End of Season Trophies, Affiliation Fees of £220.00 to
the Harlow and District League which was to submit our team into the Constitution of season 2011-2012, Pitch Fees for our Council pitch £896.00,
Football Training Venue £1196.26, Pitch fees for the friendlies at Bush Fair £75.00, Fees for the referees for the friendlies £60.00, Referees fees for
the league games and cup games for 2011-2012 £390.00, New Away Kit £280.00 and 10 New footballs £100.00. After what we received in players
signing on fees and weekly match fees it left us with £630.00 in the bank to push forward to the new season. All expenditure sheets was attached
and handed out to all players and they have agreed there happy with what was on the sheet.
The committee members have agreed that players signing on Fees should be £50.00 and Match fees and Training will be a combined £10.00 a week
which should be paid on the Sunday, this was also agreed by all current club members. For those who have financial difficulty or no current jobs to
pay you must speak to Bruce and he has happily suggested that he would come to individual arrangements with the individual players.
MANAGERS REPORT
REVIEW OF LAST SEASON:
The team started poorly but finished strong after the Christmas period by losing 3 games in the last 12 games but overall felt that we started games
on the back foot by conceding 1 0r 2 goals within the first 10-15 minutes which meant we always has to come from behind by winning games. We
lost to the weaker teams and we wasted a lot of goal Opportunities to punish teams which meant we dropped valuable points to push for the
promotion we all deserved. The other disadvantage to us was we had 53 non attended players throughout the season which made it very difficult
to have a regular 11 players on the field and most of the season out of the squad of 19 we had we very rarely had more than 2 subs and 2 games
we had a bare 11 on important matches.
OBJECTIVES:
We have the squad to push for promotion this season, We need to play as a team like we know we can, i.e. no players should play as individuals
and play as a team and play the passing which we know we all can do. We need to stop leaking in goals by conceding fewer mistakes at the back.
We need to start talking to each other and not arguing amongst each other’s. If we can do all this we can win this Division. Ricky and Alan pick the
team and make the decisions throughout the game and no player must moan about decisions throughout the game. If anyone has problems with
decisions made throughout the game they must talk to Alan and Ricky after the game rather than disrupt the game, If you don’t feel comfortable
talking directly to the manager then talk to the team captain and he can have a quiet word on your behalf. If we want to get out of the Divison We
must all stick together and Gel as a team, let’s get the promotion we all Deserve and get out this Division!!!!!

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Team members have addressed why they felt the team was unsuccessful last season and this was down to lack of proper training on a
Thursday and that’s why half the team did not bother coming training. The committee members has agreed to do 30 minutes proper
training, i.e. Training Drills, fitness, shooting, free kicks, corners, Tackling, etc., and the other 30 minutes a Match.

We conceded a lot of early goals and the team felt it was down to lack of organisation before the kick off because we don’t warm up as a
team properly, some people don’t take the warm ups serious so from now on the club has agree to do some training drills to get the
players up for it before kick-off. In the warm ups if the manager sees players not taking it serious he may consider dropping them and
play a player who is up for it in his position.

The club also agreed that team selection was changed 5-10 minutes before kick-off which was also a big disruption to the team due to
players turning up 5 minutes before kick-off which is now unacceptable, all players know they have to be at the pitch for 9.45am sharp so
for those who live far should leave that little bit earlier to turn up on time, if this doesn’t happen then again it could risk you being in the
starting line-up.

It’s now been agreed by committee members that all players should let Alan know by Facebook or text message latest by Friday night if
there available on Sunday because all games will be submitted on Facebook as well as the team website on where were playing and what
time you need to turn up by, if you fail to do this you maybe considered on the bench or not played at all depending on the size of the
squad we have turn up on the day.
