FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. When do the gates open prior to the game? Gates open at 12:30 pm for all Home Football games. Gates open one hour prior to all Home Basketball games. 2. When is the VMI Ticket Office open? The VMI Ticket Office is open year round, Tuesday through Friday 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm. On Home Football game days, the ticket office is open from 9:00 am until half-time. On Home Basketball game days, the ticket office is open one hour prior to tip-off until half-time. Call 540464-7266 to verify hours. 3. Can I bring food or beverages into the ballpark? It is the policy of the Virginia Military Institute to not allow any outside food or beverage into athletic facilities. **Alcohol is also strictly prohibited within the stadium** 4. How do I get to Foster Stadium/Cameron Hall? Traveling north on I-81: Take exit 188-B (60 West) and proceed to Lexington (about 3 miles). Turn right on Main St (which is one way north at this point). Stay in right lane. Proceed on Main St. approximately 1/2 mile and Cameron Hall and Alumni Memorial Field will appear on your right. Traveling south on I-81: Take exit 195 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp (11 South). Proceed south on 11 to Lexington (about 5 miles). Follow the signs to downtown Lexington (11 Business/Main Street). Stay on Rt. 11 Business (Main St.) and Alumni Memorial Field and Cameron Hall will appear on your left as you enter the VMI post. Traveling east on I-64: Take exit 55 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp (Route 11 South). Proceed south on Route 11 to Lexington (about 1 mile). Follow the signs to downtown Lexington (Route 11 Business/Main Street). Stay on Rt. 11 business (Main St.) and Alumni Memorial Field and Cameron Hall will appear on your left as you enter the VMI post. Physical address for Foster Stadium/Cameron Hall: 401 N. Main Street Lexington, VA 24450 5. Where can I park? Fans can park on the VMI Parade Ground during home football games (weather permitting). There also will be parking available on Rt. 11, the South Institute Hill Lot (directly across from Cameron Hall), or directly below Crozet Hall. A shuttle also will run continuously throughout the day from the Lowe’s Home Improvement on Rt. 11. 6. Where is the will call window? The will call window is located at the main ticket office inside Cameron Hall. The will call window will be open until half-time of all athletic events. 7. Do you have a lost and found? The VMI Athletics Lost and Found is located at the Ticket Office inside Cameron Hall. 8. Can I smoke inside the stadium? All VMI Athletic Facilities are NON-SMOKING public facilities. 9. Are ATMs located in any athletic facilities? Unfortunately not—the closest ATM is located inside the PX at Third Barracks (located adjacent to the Parade Ground). 10. Can I exit the park and re-enter? If absolutely necessary, you may re-enter the stadium with a valid ticket. We encourage fans to remain in the stadium for the duration of the game, however. 11. Are there refunds or exchanges available for ticket purchases? Once a ticket is purchased, it is non-refundable and there are no exchanges. 12. Is handicapped seating available? Foster Stadium: Foster Stadium has handicapped seating located on both the visitors’ side of the stadium and the home side. Cameron Hall: Cameron Hall does not have designated handicapped seating. However, arrangements can be made by calling the VMI Ticket Office at 540-464-7266 13. What payment options are available on game-day? The Main Ticket Office (inside Cameron Hall) and the Main Gate Ticket Booth (nearest to Cameron Hall on Rt. 11) accept Visa, MasterCard, cash, and check. All other locations accept only cash and check. 14. Does the VMI Ticket Office sell tickets for away games? The VMI Ticket Office will have limited quantities of tickets available for sale to away football games and a select number of away basketball games. Locations and prices are set by the host institution and quantities are limited. Call the ticket office for more information regarding these tickets at 540-464-7266. 15. What ages qualify for youth/student tickets? Any current college student or younger qualifies for the youth/student rate. College students must present a valid college student ID to receive this rate. 16. At what age does a patron require a ticket? It is VMI Athletics’ policy that, if an individual will account for a seat inside the stadium, that individual requires a ticket. 17. What items are prohibited inside the stadium? Food and beverages of any kind, umbrellas, bottles, jugs, thermoses, cans, coolers, or any other container, animals (except for certified guide dogs assisting disabled guests), whistles, horns and other noise makers, weapons, firearms, or illegal drugs all are prohibited.
