Gift Basket Making
with D.A.N.I
This June, One Kenton Place residents and D.A.N.I.
participants worked together to create gift baskets for Chai
Lifeline’s Shining Stars Program. We started by painting
labels for the water bottles going in the packages. Then,
we made challah buns with star sprinkles. Lastly, we put
together packages with cookies and snacks donated by
One Kenton Place and D.A.N.I. We had so much fun and
it was for a great cause! We hope to do it again soon!
Father’s Day
Celebration
We had a great time at our Father’s Day
Celebration. We sang and danced to music
performed by Isaac Herman.
Bridal Shower
One of our past students, Rayna is getting married in
July! We hosted a beautiful Bridal Shower for her with
our residents. We played a trivia game with her to see
how much she knows about her groom. She won! The
ladies also decorated the soon-to-be bride with a
custom-made wedding dress (out of toilet paper, the
next top of the line fabric). Since Shavuot was right
around the corner, we celebrated by making (and eating)
cherry cheesecake. Lastly, we enjoyed a beautiful musical
performance from the bride-to-be herself.
