PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To effectively operate water treatment plants & reticulated services in accordance with Australia Drinking Water guidelines and set Key Performance
Indicator’s. Effectively operate wastewater treatment plant(s) and associated pump stations to meet plant licence, legislative requirements and set Key Performance Indicator’s.
FREEDOM TO ACT:

May be responsible Credit Card use limited to
$1,000.

Frequent travel to remote sites.

KEY CHALLENGES:

To operate & maintain multiple wastewater plants & pump stations;

Operate & maintain multiple water plants;

Optimal decision making in isolation;

Operate & maintain reservoirs and basins;

Operate & Maintain trunk mains & associated equipment

Ageing infrastructure;

To competently complete tasks in adverse weather conditions;

To operate the plant in accordance with licence conditions

To conform to legislative acts including Fluoride Act;

Undertake afterhours – on call rosters


Other Operators

Appropriate trade and or experience in the water industry;

Plant & Support Services

Certification in Water Operations an advantage;

Reticulated Services

Sound computer skills & skills across a variety of programs;

AP&D

Proven analytical skills;

External service providers

The proven ability to make autonomous decisions in isolation;

Industry groups

The ability to work independently;

Maintain a current Drivers licence.
