MayBall—2017
To be certain you don’t miss this very festive event, mark
it on your calendars now.
v The Seattle Branch, RSCDS will hold a May Ball on 20th May this year.
v The Ball will take place at the Northshore Senior Center in Bothell, a spacious
venue with a large dance floor and plenty of parking.
v Kilbirnie Station from Vancouver BC will be the band for the event (see below)
Kilbirnie Station
Janet Wright (double bass), Kevin Hamilton (guitar) and Janice Hamilton (fiddle)
play together as Kilbirnie Station. The band was formed to provide class and
performance music for the Scottish Step Dance group Cranachan. Kilbirnie
Station also plays for wedding ceilidhs and small concert venues.
Janet, Kevin and Janice are delighted to expand the band to include Cathrine
Conings (piano) and Deborah Jones (fiddle) for the Seattle Ball. All have played
together for many years in the Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra.
Elizabeth Miller, Sandy Ryder, Ron Ryder, and Sandra Craig are organizing the ball
which will be a festive-formal-fabulous event; start sewing/dusting off/cleaning/ creating
your ball finery now—it’s not too early!
