What are ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Leagues?
Hot Shots League provide children between the ages of 7-11 the opportunity to play in a structured competition
while still using the modified ball, court and equipment. Hot Shots Leagues focus on creating a great first time
playing experience for kids who are early in their journey of competition play.
League details
Season dates, times and venue





Played over seven Saturday mornings from February 18 – April 1
Matches are played from 10:30am
Matches will be played using a home and away fixture
First round matches will ideally take place at a singular location to allow a 10 minute parent
information session prior to commencement (Venue TBC)
Final round matches will ideally take place at a singular location to create a carnival atmosphere and
allow for presentations (Venue TBC)
Team and match formats



Teams will be made up of three players each week.
Each player will play one singles match and two doubles matches each week.
Each match played will be a first to 4 game set using FAST4 Rules
Court set up and balls



All matches will be played using Orange Balls
Courts will be set up to modify the size of the court as per Orange Ball guidelines
Each club is required to set up courts using drop down lines (or permanent lines if applicable)
Requirement of clubs


Set up courts
Ensure scores are entered on League Manager
Support from parents


Parents are asked to attend each match and support with court set up, on court scoring and score
entry through League Manager
Each team is required to have one appointed Team Manager
Cost and value


Cost for a team entry into the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Orange Ball Leagues is $80 per team
This cost will cover;
o Setup and administration of the Hot Shots League
o Drop down lines as required
o Prizes and presentations at final round matches (Venue TBC)
o On ground support over first 1-2 weeks of matches
