Media release UAC-Lloyd’s offer an opportunity to go to Paris free At the 2015 NIBA Convention in Melbourne next week, one broker will win $5,000 of travel and another might be heading to Paris. The Underwriting Agencies Council and Lloyd’s Australia have again teamed up to provide the UAC-Lloyd’s Village in the exhibition hall at the NIBA Convention at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on Sunday 6 September to Tuesday 8 September 2015. Brokers can collect a passport at the UAC-Lloyd’s Village, complete the entry form, get stamps and/or signatures from all participating UAC member underwriting agencies and deposit their passports in the entry box provided. During afternoon tea on Tuesday afternoon, one lucky broker will win $5,000 of travel, provided with the assistance of Flight Centre. Once the Flight Centre travel voucher prize has been drawn, the winner then has a one in 25 chance to win a major alternative prize. There will be 25 envelopes and one will represent a prize of A$30,000. (Prize indemnity is underwritten by Beazley Underwriting. The draw will be independently overseen by Cunningham Lindsey.) If the broker selects the correct envelope, they could be off to Paris for the famous Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe race at Longchamp. The suggested itinerary includes: Return flights from Sydney to London’s Heathrow Airport, flying business class Accommodation in luxury hotels in London and Paris A tour of Lloyd’s Travel to and from Paris on Eurostar Tickets to the famous Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe race at Longchamp UAC General Manager William Legge said the suggested prize of a trip to the races in Paris was in keeping with the UAC-Lloyd’s Village’s Spring Racing Carnival theme, but the winner was not obliged to travel to Paris and could accept the prize as cash. How it works: The winner of the Flight Centre $5,000 travel vouchers can enter a chance draw for the alternative prize. If the voucher winner enters the chance draw and wins, they receive the alternative prize in substitution for the vouchers. If they do not win the chance draw alternative prize, they keep the vouchers. If the alternative prize is won, a second draw takes place and the prize will be the vouchers. Entry is open only to insurance brokers. The suggested itinerary of a trip for two to Paris is a sample package. The winner is under no obligation to spend the prize money on a trip to Paris. Applicable terms & conditions detailed in the inside back cover of the UAC-Lloyd’s passport apply to the alternative prize.
