Eligibility
Minor Novice (7 years or under), Atom (10 years or under), Peewee (12 years or under),
Bantam (14 years or under), Midget Jr. (16 years or under).
Number of Players
A maximum of 19 players including two goalies can be registered. Teams for each game must dress a
minimum of 10 players plus a goalie (total 11) and a maximum of 15 players and two goalies (total 17).
Number of Games
Every team entered is guaranteed three games.
Times of Games
Games will be scheduled Wednesday and/or Friday evenings, all day Saturday and/or Sunday for two
weeks.
Schedules
Schedules of game times will be e-mailed, faxed or telephoned to all teams as soon as registration is
completed. Schedules can be viewed on our website www.brmhl.ca
(Scheduling around house league games cannot be guaranteed. We will schedule around NYHL
play-off games. Once a team has committed to participating in the tournament, there will be no
refund if they withdraw).
Rules and Regulations
A copy of the rules and regulations will be provided with the tournament schedule. Further copies will be
available upon request or can be viewed on our website www.brmhl.ca
Trophies
Members of the Championship team will receive trophies and second place will receive a medal. A “player
of the game” medallion for each game will be given to an individual of each team.
Body-checking
In accordance with the G.T.H.L. rules, there will be no body checking from M. Novice to Atom divisions.
There will be body checking in the Peewee to Midget Jr. divisions.
Gate Fees
An entrance fee of $3.50 will be charged per player, and each spectator, for each game, while children
twelve (12) and under and seniors are admitted free of charge during each game. If a team plays more
than one game in a day, they required to hold on to the gate coupon to gain free entry to their next game.
Please advise your parents of the gate fees prior to the tournament.

Tournament Rules
1) Playing rules and tournament regulation are those of the G.T.H.L./O.M.H.A./C.H.A., which are in effect at
the time of the tournament. All rules regarding mandatory equipment will be enforced.
2) All players must be house league players and teams must present approved rosters to be eligible to play.
3) All games will be played as scheduled.
4) Each game consists of three ten-minute periods. Championship games will not end in ties.
5) The points system will be used in each division. Points are awarded as follows (maximum of five (5) points
per game)–Game Win– 2 points; Game Tie– 1 point; Period Win– 1point; Period Tie– ½ point Tie
Breakers for teams tied after the 3rd game will be decided by::
i) The team with the most points advances. (two points for a win, one point for a tie)
ii) The team with the highest goal spread advances. (GF-GA)
iii) If still tied, the team with the highest ratio of goals for divided by the sum of the goals for and against
advances {GF=18,GA=9, ratio is …18(18+9)=0.667}
iv) If still tied, the winner of the game between the two teams in the first round (3 games) advances.
v) If still tied, the team with the least (GA) advances.
vi) If still tied, the team with the lowest penalty minutes advances.
vii) If still tied the team with the first goal between the tied team advances.
6) In the championship games, a tie after regulation will have a five (5) minute sudden victory overtime
session after which five (5) players of each team will be selected for a shoot-out session. If still tied, a
sudden victory shoot-out will be in effect with the remaining players.
7) Any player incurring four (4) minor penalties of any kind within the same game will be ejected for the
remainder of that game. If a goal spread of five (5) goals occurs, then running time shall be used
(applicable only in the third period). Stop time will occur only when a three-goal spread is reached.
8) B.R.M.H.L.’s code of conduct is in effect at the time of the tournament; it applies to team officials,
spectators and players.
9) Body checking is allowed for the minor peewee division.
