University Entrance with CIE in NZ

General Standard
120 points in at least 3 AS Levels - minimum D Grade

2 D grades from 2 subjects on the List of Approved Cambridge Subjects
Plus
a minimum grade of D in one further subject either from the Approved
List or related to a domain on the National Qualifications Framework
(NQF).
Students may include points from one additional CIE subject to meet 120
points.
BUT: some university courses have higher entry requirements

University Entrance with CIE in NZ

Literacy Standard
Grade E in AS English subject ( Please note a ‘D’ grade is preferable and
students who achieve an ‘E’ at AS may be required to complete the AELR
course during their first year at Auckland University (click on the picture
for more information))
NCEA Level 2 for selected students
(with the required reading and writing credits)

