Interview with the work experience
How did you feel on your first day ? Mr Webb: On my first day I felt
nervous at first but everyone was really nice, also Joy made a very funny
joke .
What do you do when you go back to school ? Mr Frew : Three exams and
a speech about work experience.
Would you make a good teacher ? Mr Doyle : Yes because I would get along with all the kids .
Why did you choose this school ? Miss Norris : Because I came here when I was little.
How did you feel on your first day ? Miss Boylan: Nervous because I didn't know anyone.
What is work experience ? Miss Barons : It is a thing where you get put in a work place for 2
weeks to gain experience.
Sacred Heart goes hungry for the day
Crosby pupils chose to go hungry for the day and asked for a
soup and bread meals as part of a hunger challenge. The kids
,from Sacred Heart, decided to use Ash Wednesday to get an
idea of what it must be like to live without food. It was a
scheme called ‘rich’ and ‘poor 'and involved the children having
the bare minimum for their lunch, but elsewhere, the other
half enjoyed a three course meal. The well fed kids served as
a visual reminder the way of the world is-some have more than
enough. The unlucky members of the canteen where only given

St. Michaels high school is part of a group
called the fun learning centre. They provide
all kinds of activities for children in yr4 to
Yr6 and they are on daily. It is a great club
and it does not cost you anything.

It’s on for infants and on Friday for Juniors.
First of all you do a warm up. Then you do
skills like running and dribbling the ball. After
that you play a game of football. It’s good fun

Crosby baths is a great place
to go and swim. It is also
very close to the beach so you
can go and have loads of
fun. Its also very cheap.
Aspirations
Aspirations is a dance school for both girls
and boys. It is great because it is cheap and
fun.
There are a large variety of lessons to
choose from.

Procter dance academy the premier
dance school in the Crosby area is for
boy and girls age 3 and upwards. Jazz,
Modern, Ballet, Tap are just some of

George Groves demands rematch
George Groves has called his officials to appoint his rematch against Carl Foch at Wembley stadium

Bike ability
Congratulations to our yr5 pupils who took part in bike ability. The children went on the roads but did
a safety check on the playground first. They had great concentration when they hit the roads and
listened to the instructors very well. The children were: Jack Hannaway, Kerhys Finn, Jamie Cowley,
Leah McIntyre, Megan Cox, Jessica Murphy, Millie Whittaker, Arthur Doyle, Harry Cullen, Harry
Emerson, Brooke Burgess, Melanie Williams. We also thank Miss Mills and Mrs McGill who took part
with the children on the roads. Another thanks to Miss Mills who organised the whole thing with the
Bike it Right team: Ed, Mark and Les.
Another gold in the bag
Our very own great British champion Poppy Stanton in 5u competed in a karate competition in
Bradford 1st of March 2014.There was a choice of two options, kata and an Kubota. She choose both.
She done a total of three fights in kata and won all of them. She came 5th in Kubota. She added
another gold from the kata fight to her growing collection.

The winter Paralympics opening
Millions of people worldwide gathered together at the Sochi stadium for the opening ceremony of the
2014 Paralympic winter games on March the 7th 2014 at 20:00.
A parade of nations with disabilities walked through the crowd of people. One athlete from each
nation carried the flag. Millie Knight proudly carried the flag for team GB with the rest of team
behind her.
