French in-Country (LANG 2034) French course 9 units Page | 1 AIM SECTION 1 FRENCH STUDIES This course will provide students who have completed at French 2B or equivalent with an in-country immersion experience by studying at the Centre de Linguistique Appliquée de Besançon- a French government-approved tertiary institution specialised in the teaching of the French Details Language and culture international students. Attendance at French language and culture courses is mandatory. Assessments include written and oral evaluations. Payment: Deposit of $200 AUD to be paid The fee of € 2 250 does not include: • Access to university restaurant meals (cost borne by students); • Access to sport facilities of the university at extra cost (e.g. gym membership for approx. €50 per month); • Participate to cultural activities and excursions (extra cost). SECTION 5 UNISA TRAVEL GRANT Students enrolled in a UniSA program (degree) may be eligible for study grants of $1000 at any time prior or after departure for France. Current criteria to receive the grant are: • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or above • Completion of at least a minimum of 36 units for undergraduate students or 9 units for postgraduate students in the UniSA program in which they are currently enrolled (36 units can consist of maximum 18 units credit + 18 units in current program). • Demonstrated interest in and understanding of cultural differences. • Good health or a manageable condition. You do not need to apply for a travel grant. On receipt of the list of participating students from the School, The Student Mobility Team will assess students’ eligibility and advise the School and students of the outcome.
