GIRLS CRICKET
Girls cricket in the Nelson region took off last
season, with six all girls teams playing on
Saturdays and over 200 girls taking part in various
programs and promo sessions. Nelson Cricket is
committed to building on this tremendous
foundation, so if you are a female of any age and
would like more information about playing contact
NCA and we will make sure it happens!
JUNIOR TRIGGERS PROGRAM
In the spirit of development, NCA has developed
the junior triggers program, a way of developing
and fostering new umpires within the region. We
are hoping to enlist the skills of college grade
players and any parents to umpire Saturday
morning cricket.
The junior triggers program aims to take pressure
off coaches and clubs, while also developing skills
these young umpires can utilise later at a higher
level.
Do you have a senior student or parent who
wants to get into umpiring?
Please get them to contact NCA for further
information [email protected]
THE DRAW
The draw for senior and junior college grade will be
sent to all colleges prior to the start of each term.
All intermediate, primary, incrediball and kiwi cricket
draws will be posted on a weekly basis, and will be
sent out to schools and clubs no later than Tuesday
5pm.
All draws will also be posted on the Nelson Cricket
Website, www.nelsoncricket.org.nz, and in the
Nelson Mail every Wednesday.
