Record definition
• This record is for the most passes of a beach ball in a 30 second time frame.
• This record is to be attempted by a pair.
• This record is measured by the number of successfully completed passes within the
allotted time.
• For the purposes of the record, a beach ball is defined as a light inflatable plastic ball
exceeding 40 cm in diameter.
Rules for Most passes of a beach ball in 30 seconds (team of two)
1. The contestants must be separated by a distance of 3 metres. Two parallel lines must be
marked on the ground to display this distance.
2. Before the start of the 30 second time frame, one contestant may be holding the beach ball.
3. Each 'pass' is counted as each time the ball is propelled through the air from one
contestant to the other. Only fully completed passes within the time frame will count
towards the total.
4. The ball can either be caught then thrown by the contestant, or punted/pushed with the
hands.
5. The record attempt will begin with a countdown. The ball must only leave the first
competitor's hands after the 30 second time frame has begun.
6. If the ball is dropped, that pass does not count towards the title and the attempt is over at
that point.
7. If either team member crosses over the line, the attempt ends at that point.
8. The video footage must clearly display both lines on the ground throughout the attempt. If
necessary in order to display the passes and the lines simultaneously, multiple camera
angles may be used.
