PEG + CAT Characters
PEG
Peg is witty, chatty and endlessly energetic. She loves her best friend Cat even more than she
loves pie – and she really loves pie. Analytical in nature, she takes a very “left brain” approach
when it comes to solving problems. She’s always organizing, ordering things and writing
equations on graph paper with her twig as she fearlessly leads the quest to solve the problems
she and Cat encounter. Peg plays the ukulele, which she can pull out anywhere and
everywhere as she breaks into songs that get everyone’s toes tapping.
CAT
If Peg is the typical “left brain” problem solver, her goofy, sweet sidekick Cat has a very “right
brain” style. He’s impulsive, easily distracted and clumsy, bringing physical comedy to PEG +
CAT. It’s not clear if Cat actually knows any math at all, but Peg is convinced he’s a genius. And
with her, he kind of is. It seems like every time he trips or sneezes, it points Peg towards an
answer. Together, they add up to a perfect team.
RAMONE
A super cool kid who’s older and wiser, Ramone seems to know just about everything.
Wherever they are, Ramone happens to be passing through doing something really amazing.
He stops to help Peg and Cat out with a key fact or tool or piece of advice, and then goes on his
way.
THE PIG
The Pig is a space cadet and not generally very helpful when faced with a problem. He doesn’t
speak, but on the rare occasions when he has something to say, he sings in a bellowing
operatic tenor. He can be a bit obsessive about his favorite shape, triangles.
THE NEIGHBOR LADIES, VIV AND CONNIE
Peg’s chatty middle-aged neighbors, Viv and Connie, live in the houses on either side of hers.
Viv and Connie are always together, always bubbly and always babbling at Peg about how she
should wear more pink, smile more and generally be more girly.
ONE HUNDRED CHICKENS
They’re wild, they’re crazy and they’re great at using farm items to build vehicles that can
transport them anywhere on earth or beyond. If you’re counting to 100, you want the chickens.
LITTLEST CHICKEN
The littlest chicken is sweet, innocent, cute and little.
RICHARD
Richard is a sensitive young space alien. Peg and Cat love to visit his planet because he’s got
the coolest hi-tech toys.
THE TEENS
A clique of chatty teenagers who are so proud of their ages they wear them on their shirts.
They love pizza, texting, and comparing their ages. The teens are comprised of Tessa, Mora,
and Jesse.
BIG MOUTH
A space monster with huge fangs, Big Mouth is a voracious maniac who chases after anything
little and yellow.
THE PIRATES
An unruly band of clods with bad manners, the Pirates love dividing things up, but sometimes
have a hard time doing so fairly.
THE GIANTS
The Giant and Giantess are a young, sweet, outgoing couple who have no idea why their little
friends are afraid of them.
THE MERMAID, THE DRAGON & THE TOAD
The Mermaid, the Dragon, and the Toad live in the Magic Forest and each have an affinity for a
particular shape. The Mermaid adores pyramids, the Dragon loves spheres, and the fast-talking
Toad likes cubes (but he would rather try to swindle someone else out of their favorite shape).
THE THREE BEARS, THE THREE LITTLE PIGS & THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF
The Three Bears, the Three Little Pigs, and the Three Billy Goats Gruff reside in Fairy Tale
Land and love to show off their musical talents in different bands, including the Fabulous Four,
the Fabulous Five, and the Electric Eleven.
CLEOPATRA & EPIDERMIS
Cleopatra rules over Ancient Egypt with her beloved camel, Epidermis. Powerful and
passionate, Cleopatra can be a bit melodramatic but is always determined to make sure her
friends have a good time.
LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN
The famous composer who is always searching for just the right musical pattern for his next
masterpiece.
MAC
A Renaissance man of sorts, Mac can be found hard at work making pizzas in Peg’s Pizza
Place.
PEG’S MOM
Sweet and loving, Peg’s mom is supportive and encouraging of Peg and Cat in their adventures.
AKI THE NINJA
ROMEO AND JULIET
Romeo and Juliet, best friends and next-door neighbors, love to speak in rhymes and dance
together.
