First, sign up for an account following the directions on the Quizstar website.
Welcome to QuizStar!
QuizStar is your online resource to create and manage online quizzes. Your students,
who are organized by your classes, will be able to take quizzes on any computer
connected to the Internet.
If you are a NEW USER, first go to Class Manager and create a class.
Class Manager
All of your classes in QuizStar are listed below. Create a new
class, or click on an existing class to manage its quizzes,
students and settings. If you need help, directions and an Icon
Legend are at the bottom of this page.
Add students here. Instructions are given
when you click the student(s) link.
I had to use REALLY clever logins. I did
not find first initial and last name to work
at all. I used train for the first name, and
your number for the last name. The
password is the same as the one for
Symonds II lab.
TeacherTECH's Students - Public Class
If your class is Public, anyone can register and take your
quizzes. If your class is Private, only registered and
accepted students can take the quizzes. Registration can be
handled two ways: 1) You register each student by clicking
the Add Student button. They are automatically accepted.
2) Students register themselves, then you click the Accept
Student button to add them to your class.

Question Form
Question List
To create a quiz question, fill in the Question form, then select ONE answer
format (e.g., multiple choice).
For every question, QuizStar allows you to create weighted each questions
with individual points, attach individual instructions to each question and send
a customized feedback message to your student if he answers that question
incorrectly (this only displays if you have that feature set in the Quiz
Settings).
Attach a media file to the Question and Multiple Choice answers by clicking
the "Attach Media" button. This takes you to your Media Repository, where
you copy a file from your computer and upload it to QuizStar.
Finally, choose a Save option: "Save, make new question" saves a question,
then instantly resets the form to add another question. "Save, go to question
list" saves a question, then takes you to the Question List to see all of your
questions. "Cancel, go to question list" does not save anything and takes you
to the Question List.
Note: A question will not be saved if there is no answer format selected.
Students login
Classes
The classes for which you have registered are listed below. Each class has its own
quizzes. Click on the link to the class page to see which quizzes you need to take or
may review. Click on the Search button above to look for additional classes to
register for. You cannot remove these classes once you enroll. Your instructor will
need to remove you from the class if you are to no longer take its quizzes.
