club members?
What is a Brand?
• A brand is a collection of perceptions
in the minds of the customer
• Very different from a product or service
– it is intangible and exists in the mind
of the customer.
A Brand is what people think of you!
What is Zonta’s Current Brand?
•
•
•
•
•
Image?
Vision?
What do we want to be known for?
What are our values?
How can you sum up our brand?
Branding Tips!
• YOU are the brand!
• Everything you say and do is Zonta in
the minds of members and the public
• Be authentic – keep the promise
• Build a public image that is worthy of
your history and your future
How does this translate into Zonta terms?
• Our relationship is with members, event
customers, service partners = community
• Our promise – leadership, integrity, service,
fellowship and fun
• Identity – the Zonta logo, yellow rose, YELLOW
= powerful women
• Communications – flyers/ brochures/
pamphlets, websites, newsletters
It’s a busy world out there!

The Promise
• Where is there a disconnect between the
“promise” and reality:
• In your club programs, projects,
services?
• In your club meetings, administration?
• In your club atmosphere, dynamics,
leadership?
Why YOU!
If not you – then who?
If not now – when?
If not here – where?
Leadership Is…
• It is about saying YES!
• It is about learning as you go along
• It is about helping others on their
road
• It is about leaning on colleagues
• It is about risking a little
Conclusion
Start where you are
Use what you have
Do what you can do
