PEERS Social Skills Groups
for Neurodiverse Individuals
At long last! EvoLibri has been asked for many years to hold Social Skills groups for neurodiverse
teens and young adults, and the wait is over!
Starting in May, 2017, we will begin classes using the wonderful PEERS curricula from UCLA. This
evidence-based program was specifically designed for teens and young adults, and focuses on the
typical interactions these students have with their peers. We love this curricula because it is ‘real’ –
how to informally greet someone with a “S’up?”, how to tell jokes, how to enter and leave a
conversation, and much more. In short, it’s the equivalent of ‘conversational social skills’ as opposed
to ‘text book social skills’ – how young people actually interact.
Each section is 14 weeks long, and has a parent component to scaffold the work the teens and young
adults are doing. Dates and times are listed below. All new clients must be screened for goodness of
fit for our groups. Interested parents and young adults should contact [email protected] to set up
a free intake.
PEERS Young Adult
PEERS Young Adult is for neurodiverse individuals ages 17 and up, and will run on Wednesday
evenings from 7 until 8:30, starting May 3, 2017.
PEERS Teen
PEERS Teen is for neurodiverse individuals ages 13-16, and will run on Thursday evenings from 7 until
8:30 pm, starting May 4, 2017.
PEERS Parents & EvoClubs
PEERS Parents will run every other Friday evening at Sneha Restaurant in Santa Clara from 7 until 8:30.
We will also be running EvoClubs on these Friday evenings for class participants and other Evo clients
so that parents may drop off their children to practice their new skills, and then join us for dinner.

and the remainder is due no later than one week before the program starts.
