TRAINING SESSION: E LICENSE - DRIBBLING TO SET UP A PASS
Objectives
Who?#7, #9, #10 #11. Where?Attacking third of the field. What? How to dribble in the attacking half of the field to
commit defenders and set up a pass. When? When we have established possession of the ball. Why? Break a line of
pressure. How? Dribbling, Fakes / Feints Passing Techniques.

Description
20 x 30 yards.Split players into two
teams.Place four players from each team on
the outside of the grid and two players in
the center with a soccer ball.Players on the
inside dribble and pass to a teammate who
replaces them. Progress to a turn or
fake/faint in the center before the player
pass out to a teammate.

Tactical application of technique - which
technique is best suited for the
situation.Create space by setting the
defender up for your fake / faint - EG, take
defender to one side, fake and attack the

turning with the ball.

moving the ball. Support angles of teammates
as this is happening.
