In this tutorial we will discuss all actions available under Installation menu in detail. To Add New Installation: To a new installation in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select your required project from the projects list. 2. Click Installation Menu and select Add New Installation menu item. 3. Create New Installation dialog box will appear on the screen. 4. Type a name in the New Name textbox. 5. Click Ok button. 6. This will create you new installation and it will appear in the Installation tab. To Delete an Installation: To delete a installation in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select your required project from the projects list shown in Installation Tab. 2. Select your required installation under the selected project node. 3. Click Delete Installation menu item shown under Installation menu. 4. A confirmation dialog box will appear on the screen asking you to confirm your action. 5. Click Yes button. 6. This will remove your selected installation. To Rename an Installation: To rename an installation in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select your required project from the projects list shown in Installation Tab. 2. Select your required installation under the selected project node. 3. Click Rename Installation menu item shown under Installation menu. 4. Rename dialog box will appear on the screen. 5. Type in new name of the installation in the New Name textbox. 6. Click Ok button. 7. This will rename your installation. Before we are able to build MSI installation we need to prepare installation. To prepare installation: To prepare installation in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. After you have captured the required data from an existing installation. 2. Select the Project that you want to process from the projects tree. 3. Select the Installation that you want to prepare under your selected project node. 4. Click Prepare Installation menu item under Installation menu. 5. This will start preparing the installations. 6. Now you have successfully prepared your installation files.
