Laws of the Game
All matches must be played in accordance with FIFA Laws of the Game, except as specifically modified as follows in the tournament rules:
1.
Game Mode
For ease of use all games will be played in “Friendly” mode. After the game is finished, the computers will be guided back to the
Home Screen and a new ‘Friendly” will be selected.
2.
Picking Teams
Every player is allowed to pick their preferred team. Teams can be picked before the start of the game. Players are allowed to use
multiple teams throughout the tournament as they please. It is accepted to have the same teams play against each other (e.g.
Barcelona). In that case, the ‘away’ player will have to pick the Away Jersey for that team. In general, ‘away’ players are responsible
for picking the jersey that does not resemble the home team jersey.
3.
Score Recording
The scores will be reported to the score table by both players after the game. Marshalls will also record scores to make sure all
scores are reported fairly.
4.
Game Length
All games have a length of 2x 6 minute halves. There is no more than 45 seconds for setting the starting line up and the half time
changes (45 seconds for each). Field marshalls will check on the times and make sure the games are played fairly.
5.
Substitutions
Players are only allowed to pause the game if their team is in possession of the ball and no more than 2x per half. Field marshalls will
check this.
6.
Game Misconduct
Field marshalls will check on the times and make sure the games are played fairly. Misconduct or inappropriate behavior from the
players will result in disqualification of the tournament.
7.
Player Check-In
Players are required to check in no less than 20 minutes before the start of their first game.
8.
Match Schedules
Each player will play a minimum of 3 games. After the 3 games in bracket style, there is a possible 4th game. The Tournament
Director has the right to change bracket style to knockout style at his discretion.
9.
Forfeits
If a player does not show for the game or forfeits during the game, he/she loses the game with the maximum score of 5-0.

11. Standings and Tie-breakers
It is the responsibility of the players to keep up with their team’s standings. Three points will be awarded for a win, one point for a

In the event of ties in point standings, the following sequence will be used to determine the championship team. Note: in the event

starts again from the top with the two remaining teams..
a. Points earned from matches won or tied.
b. Result of head to head game (2 teams only)
c. Goal difference: Total net score for tournament games. Net score = goals scored, less goals scored against. A maximum differential

f. If two teams are still tied, Penalty Kicks will be used to determine a winner.
After a tied game in knock-out style, the game will go to pk’s to determine a winner. There is no overtime.
