◦ All teams have 5 games guaranteed + final round for the best 8 teams
◦ Pairs for the first games are drawn before the tournament
◦ All teams are divided into 5 groups of six teams– A, B, C, D, E. In the second round
opponents are picked according to position in the table. First team in the group plays against
third, 2nd against 4th and 5th vs 6th
◦ After second round all teams are gathered in one table, where pairs are determined according
to position in the table. Should two teams meet, while they played a game against each other
earlier in the tournament, there is a switch and the team higher ranked face a team which is
lower in the table
◦ Teams should be ready to play at time given on the schedule (there are no practice sessions).
There is a time limit of 90 minutes for each game, after that a signal rings, which means that
all teams should finish their ends. There are no extra ends except for the final session. The
final game (1-2) is a full 8 end game with no time limit
◦ 8 teams play in the final round. In the final (1-2) the better team wins whole tournament,
looser takes 2nd place. Positions 3-8 are determined by ranking
◦ Before first games teams register all team members. One player can only be registered in
one team and he cannot play for other team. If this happens the game ends as a forfeit for
opponents despite the actual score
◦ Win - 2 points, draw -1 point, loss – 0
◦ Ranking order depends on the following:
1. number of points
2. number of points scored by beaten opponents (0 for draw)
3. end difference (ends won – ends lost)
4. stone difference (stones won – stones lost)
5. stones won
6. direct’s game result
7. coin toss
◦ Last stone for the first ends is determined by position in the table– team ranked higher has
the hammer. In the first round hammer is determined by coin toss
◦ Teams may forfeit a game after 4th end is played
◦ WCF rules apply in all situations not mentioned above
