New Agent Groups for Net Remit
Previously, agents could be assigned to Net Remit deals in the following
ways:
All
All agents automatically get this Deal
Nets Just those agents with the ‘AllNets’ checkbox checked get this
Deal
Many Agent IATA number are listed for each deal.
It was easy enough to add groups of agents to a Deal using the ‘Many’
option, but if the membership of the group changed from time to time,
the Net Deals were not automatically updated with these changes.
New Agent Group
The new agent group allows a Net Deal to apply to all agents in a
particular group, and if the membership of the group changes from time
to time, the Net Deal is automatically updated.
Group Agents who are a member of one of the Groups specified on the
Deal can use the Deal
How to use the new Net Remit Agent Groups
A new button ‘Agt grp’ has been provided in Net Remit Maintenance.

You need to add all the
agent groups before you can
assign the agents to them.
An agent can be a member
of more than one agent
group.
A new button ‘NR AG’ has been provided in Agent Inquiry.
It will display the following form:
When you click on ‘+’ to add an agent group for the current agent, the
IATA number and name automatically appear.
To select an Agent Group, just click in the ‘Group name’ column and a
drop-down list will appear.

Initially you will probably not need to enter any dates, and the agent will
become a member of the selected group without limitation. If an agent
drops from a group you should enter the last date they were in the group
into the ‘Sales To’ column.
If a new agent gets added to a group after the group has been active,
enter the start date in the ‘Sales from’ column.
An agent can be a member of more than one group. Just click on the ‘+’
to add more groups.
The example below shows an agent moving from BUDGET to GULLIVERS
on 1st April 2004, but they are also a member of Retail Group A

Finally, you need to assign a group to the Deal.
Net Remit – Browse Deals
In the Miscellaneous tab, select ‘GROUP’ as the method of assigning
agents.
Once you have selected ‘GROUP’ click on the ‘Agents’ button at the top
of the screen.
You will be able to add as many groups as you want to the Deal.
We suggest that initially you should leave the dates blank. This will mean
that the specified groups of agents can use the deal without limitation.
The allowed sales dates on the deal itself will restrict the use of each
deal.
