The Soccer Game
Intense, Emotional and Fun-filled
It was a beautiful Sunday evening, we were given the opportunity to attend this intense
soccer game, Midtjylland vs. Brøndby. The atmosphere created an energetic vibe throughout
the stadium with fans from both sides screaming and chanting. Flags were waving and drums
were beating, the noise in the stadium was getting louder and louder. Fans poured in packing
the stands while they cheered and howled. We stood together and jumped cheering for our
red and black. We didn’t know much of what they were saying but we sang along anyway.
When our first goal was scored, putting our team in the lead, you could hear the stadium
shake. You could hear the opponents fans become silent. The game was getting even more
aggressive. When halftime came we took a break from all the madness. We were told to try
the hotdogs from the concessions. They were so juicy and tasted delicious! Just what I
needed after all the excitement. We went back to our seats to get back into the groove of the
intense game and right off the bat our team got another one on the board! The goal was right
in front of us we could feel the adrenaline rush from the athletes in the lead. The other teams
fans got even more violent. They were known to be some of the craziest fans in the league.
All of a sudden we start to see flames and smoke rising from across the field in the
opponent’s fan section. They were going crazy, obviously upset they were losing. The security
guards tried to keep them calm, but they were getting way too wild, they even began to burn
our flag. This made us furious and our fans roared even more! As the game winded down
and our team finished with 2 and theirs 0 we were thrilled and skipped on out of the stadium
with our cheerful spirits and great memories.
