1. GENERAL FEATURES
The 40 series is the RMT product line of trunnion mounted ball valve for control
application.
40 series control valve couple:

DIFFERENT CONSTRUCTION TYPES AND WIDE RANGE OF TRIM SOLUTIONS FOR

EFFICIENT VALVE OPERATION
RMT has engineered three design types in order to

45 Series: is the V cut series of RMT ball control
valves.

2.3.1 STANDARD LOW EMISSION PACKING
Low Emission (LEM) packing meets the criteria of ISO
15848-1: CC3 class.
It is made by a series of pre-formed braided rings PTFE or
GRAPHOIL based with two anti-extrusion terminal solid
rings.
For rating tables, refer to product spec. section.

PTFE based rings can be adopted from
-30 °C up to 200°C with a plain bonnet and from
-30°C up to 300 °C with an extended one;
max allowable pressure is 250 Barg.

2.4 TRIM COMPONENTS
Different constructive tips make 40 series of ball
control valves capable to suit a wide range of
applications, even the most severe.
Different trims solutions have been applied to 40
series in order to be able to couple the advantages
of a ball control valve solution with the capability to
face also up:

could occur: RMT Controls have developed 43
series of multistage ball control valves;

SEAT RING AND BALL ELEMENT
2.4.2.1 SEAT RING CONFIGURATION
