LSEM Activities Card
Katy Kosiorek
Attend a Chi Walk
• I went to the first Chi
Walk of the semester. It
was a strange
experience but it
helped me to learn
more about the
traditions at Longwood.
Attend Rock the Block
• Attending Rock the
Block was another
wonderful experience
that I got to go through
with my family and
friend. A lot of booths
were set up with a lot of
helpful information on
them.
Group Study Session
• Towards the beginning
of the year, a lot of us
got together to study
for a test. It was helpful
discussing the subject
and learning from
people other than my
professor.
Alzheimer’s Walk
• The Alzheimer’s Walk
was put on to bring
awareness to patients
suffering through this
disease. Not only did
we walk about a mile
for the cause but also
learned more about the
disease by talking to
members of Sigma
Kappa.
Color Wars
• Color Wars was a great
first experience here at
Longwood University. I
never thought that I
would have so much
fun getting paint
thrown at me. I also
didn’t know that
parents and people
from the community
come to watch.
Group Fitness Class
• Katy and I tried out
Zumba class for the first
time earlier this year.
Zumba is a great form
of exercise and we have
gone back multiple
times throughout the
semester.
G.A.M.E.
• The G.A.M.E. was
where I received my
first official Longwood
Scarf. I hope to be able
to get them each year
that I am here at
Longwood University.
Running an Oktoberfest Booth
• It was fun running an
Oktoberfest booth with
one of my closer
friends. I definitely
became closer with
those in HAS through
this experience.
Joanie on the Stony
• This picture was taken
when my family was
here for family
weekend. We had just
listened to Dr. Jordan’s
stories on the history of
Longwood, and of
course Joany on the
Stony.
Tailgating with the Lancers
• Tailgating with the
Lancers was one of my
first experiences here at
Longwood University. I
got to know my
suitemates and
roommates better with
this experience.
Attend an Oktoberfest Concert
• Even though the
original date for
Oktoberfest was rained
out, I still got to go
watch my roommate’s
acapella group perform
with friends.
Go to a Professor’s office hours
• I have been Dr.
Franssen’s office hours
on multiple occasions
for help with Bio 121.
He is a great teacher
and I learned that he
has two daughters.
