SECOND-HAND UNIFORM SHOP
The uniform shop is situated in the canteen in the science block.
The Balwyn High School Chaplaincy Second-Hand Uniform Shop is the only authorised outlet for the
sale and purchase of second-hand uniforms within the school. Monies raised support the employment
of a full time Chaplain for Balwyn High School as well as other approved Chaplaincy Committee
projects.
Uniform items submitted for sale must be washed or drycleaned (no matter how often the Blazer
was worn) and be part of the current uniform (current logo only, as shown above). $15 will be
charged upfront if an item needs to be drycleaned. Any items that are torn, have holes or stains
will be discarded.
If you wouldn’t buy it, don’t bring it in for sale!
Due to the introduction of a new dress in 2010 and now the introduction of a new PE uniform in
2013 we will no longer be accepting any items with the old logo, the old style dress or old style PE
uniform. The navy blue PE trackpants are still accepted for sale.
All items must be approved by a member of the uniform room and must have a label securely attached
(labels are available at the uniform shop). A Seller sheet can be downloaded from the website. You
find us under the parents tab. Please fill it out and bring it along when you bring in your uniform items,
alternatively we have the form also in the shop for you to fill out.
The items remain the property of the owner until sold. The Chaplaincy Second-Hand Uniform Shop
sells all items on commission of 30% plus $2 administration cost per cheque. Cheque runs occur after
Term 2+4 for stock sold.
Payment for items purchased from the Second-Hand Uniform Shop may only be by cash or cheque.

There is only a limited number available of some of the PE items, as we have
changed over to a new PE uniform in 2015. New stock is expected at the end of the
year but again it will be limited.
Please note the uniform shop only stocks second-hand uniforms. New uniform items may
be purchased from the Balwyn High School’s preferred supplier – ‘Bob Stewart of Kew’.
