FORM OF PLAY 72 HOLES STROKE-PLAY
30th August:
1st round (18 HOLES)
31st August:2nd round (18 HOLES)
The lowest 40 scores including ties after the first two rounds will qualify for the final 36 holes
1th September: 3rd round (18 HOLES) and
4th round (18 HOLES)
The Nations’ Trophy is open to teams of three players. The Trophy will take place concurrently with the first
two rounds. For the final results the aggregate of the best two scores out of three on each round will count.
ELIGIBILITY AND NUMBER OF COMPETITORS
The starting field will include a maximum of 144 players as follows:
- 78 foreign players with a EGA Hcp (or CONGU, USGA and other equivalent) not exceeding 5.4 and
-54 Italian players within the Italian order of merit by the closing date for entries with a EGA Hcp not
exceeding 5,4
-12 wild cards
If the maximum number of foreign players is not reached, the available places will be assigned to the
Italian enrolled players. Competitors must be under the age of 16 at 0.01 a.m. of 1st January 2016.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the winner, the runner-up and the third placed. Challenge will be awarded to the
winner. A WILD CARD for the 2016 Italian Open will be granted to the winner.
From August 29th to September 2nd 2016, the hosting Club will be pleased to offer free accommodation, meals
and transportation from/to the airport to the 3 players selected by each Federation for the Nations’ Trophy
and 1 coach/team manager. To all participants and accompanying people who will stay at the selected
hotels, free transportation from /to the Hotels/Club.
A detailed letter of invitation will follow in due time.
