Player Profiles William Pedrick Ben Carman Jamie Spring Ben Jones Wayne Farrugia A goalkeeper that has been to many clubs as a youth player including, Bristol City, Reading and Forest Green Rovers. He has been at Stonehouse since he was 16 years old. He has progressed through the ranks from being a regular 4th teamer to become a long standing first team regular. Regarded as Stonehouse’s version of Peter Schmeichel (well, they both have two hands) he’s worth 12 points a season, usually to the opposition! Ben’s 2nd year has been as good as his first where he won Players’ Player Of The Year last year to endorse his popularity at the Club. A strong running and hard tackling full back with an eye for goal, especially when his Dad offers him £5 a goal – offset by own goals, he is in debt to his Dad by £15 so far! Jamie started young for Matchplay 2nds at the age of 13 years, and as 1st team captain for Matchplay took them to Stroud League 3 glory, before switching to the Magpies. He is renowned for his heading ability, scoring numerous goals whilst being the number one defender (behind H!). He was a 2nd team regular before taking his chance in the 1st team with both hands and has not looked back since. Ben Jones joined Stonehouse from King Stanley this year and has established himself as number one choice at left back. His good feet, energy and work rate makes him stand out on the left hand side. He’s also chipped in with his fair amount of goals Wayne is a player that has come up through the Stonehouse youth system and has established himself as a hard working central midfielder. Wayne is a 100 percenter with a box to box attitude, Wayne is having a good season and is also popping up with a few important goals. Alex Kibble Liam Gale Andy Maryon Adam Ireland Brad Moore Lee Keveren Tim Williams Ryan Stewart Stonehouse Town Staff Alex is in his 3rd season at Stonehouse and is club captain. He has had a good season scoring 15 goals so far from centre midfield. Alex is a club person and is turning out to be a most loyal servant, helping out at Committee meetings and volunteer work around the ground and at training, besides making huge contributions on the pitch…when sat on the mower! Liam is also from the King Stanley youth system where he was a prolific goal scorer at all age groups. Liam is now in his first full season with Stonehouse and is settling in very nicely, he was very close to becoming the league’s top goal scorer last season…but wasn’t quite good enough!!! Andy is a strong yet silky (or was that ‘sickly’?) centre forward who sets many players up for an easy goal whilst scoring a fair few too. Andy was part of the King Stanley youth system where he was a proven goal scorer. He has been at Forest Green and Cheltenham Town development centres but he broke his ankle and this ended his youth progression. Adam is another player from the King Stanley youth system, who has experience playing in the County League with King Stanley, as well as Slimbridge and now in the Northern Senior League at Stonehouse Town. He is a versatile midfielder with good close ball skills. Brad Moore is a local lad that has experience with Stonehouse and King Stanley in the County League. He’s returned to where he started and is turning into an outstanding central midfielder that can also play wide. A new recruit to Stonehouse this term after playing for the successful Didmarton team that now find themselves in Stroud Division 1. Lee is an ever running striker/attacking midfielder with a decent strike on him (ask anyone who saw that goal at Broadwell last season!). He has joined Stonehouse to climb the footballing pyramid where he is adapting very quickly to life in the County League Tim has been a key part of the Stonehouse Town set up for nearly 10 years. He has risen up through the ranks from the 4ths and now to 1st team captain. Tim is a former Swindon Town and Coventry City centre of excellence player, and has also played for Swansea University’s first team. A major knee injury meant he was out for 18 months but Tim is now back to his best football. He is a versatile player that can play anywhere on the field, including centre back. Regularly travels from his home in Oxfordshire to play for his beloved Magpies. Ryan has been with the club for a couple of years now after moving down from London. He is a regular 2nd teamer who has been with the 1st team on a number of occasions, especially in the County Cup. He is establishing himself as a striker at the club and with a few more goals he will be able to push for a 1st team spot. A versatile player who can also play in midfield, a good asset to the club. Manager – Hayden Murray Coaches – Nat Buckland and Lee Grenfell-Williams Secretary – Mike ‘Spike’ Smith Haydn Haydn never played youth football and it showed when he started his Murray footballing career in the Stroud League with Reeves in Division 6! At – 18 years old he established himself a Stonehouse first team regular, Manager and even won the Chairman’s Player award in his first season.
