Eligibility: This tournament is certified under the rules, regulations, and auspices of the United States Bowling Congress. Adult entrants must be in good standing of the USBC and the Greater Dayton USBC. Bowlers must present current membership card to tournament officials prior to bowling. a. Any individual wishing to compete in a GDUSBC event as an unattached member will be required to purchase membership 30 days prior to the date the player participates in the tournament. b. Members who are eligible for another association championship tournament must have bowled a minimum of 21 games in a GDUSBC sanctioned league in the 2009-2010 season or current year to be able to participate in the GDUSBC city tournaments. 2. Divisions: The singles event will be divided into four age divisions. The doubles and team event will be divided into two age divisions. The youngest competitor will determine the division for the doubles and team event. Multiple participation in the doubles event is permitted but you must change partners each time. Multiple participation in the team event is permitted in the team event, but you must change at least two bowlers. All Events will be classified into an actual and a handicap division within each age bracket and first score in each event will count toward your overall All Events score. 3. Cost: $21.00 per individual per event. The cost will be $26 ($5.00 walk in fee added ) if entered as a walk in.. a. Walk-Ins will be accepted subject to lane availability. Walk-in entries will be accepted up to 15 minutes prior to start of next shift. A walk-in is defined as an entry being submitted the day of the actual event bowled and will be assessed a $5.00 fee per bowler. b. No entry fees will be refunded once the entry has been scheduled c. No checks the day of the tournament 4. This is a handicap singles tournament bowling 3 games on the same pair of lanes barring mechanical failure. 5. The tournament will have a maximum of 24 lanes per shift. A maximum of eight bowlers will be assigned per pair. The nd th lanes will not be re-run between the weekend squads. The April 2 and April 9 3:00 shifts will have a maximum of 16 lanes available. 6. Handicap: The handicap basis will be 90% of 220 average for singles, 90% of 440 for doubles, and 90% of 880 for team. 7. Average: Highest USBC book average for the 2009-2010 season will be used. If no previous season average, bowler must use current average of 21 games or more as of April 1, 2010. Bowlers without an acceptable average will bowl scratch or 220. Failure to use the correct average shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than correct average thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the correct average. However, corrections in averages may be permitted up to the completion of the first game of a series. Bowlers with an average only from a Sports League will be re-adjusted to USBC guidelines. 8. All USBC playing rules will be in effect during tournament play. Prize winnings need not be reported 9. Lane Assignment/Tardy Bowlers: Bowlers shall bowl on assigned lanes. Any bowler arriving late will receive zero for each frame missed, and will begin play with the frame being bowled. 10. Prize Fund: 100% of the prize money will be returned. Prize ratio will be 1 in 5 entries in singles, doubles, and team. Prize ratio for All Events will be 1 in 10. 11. Champions: The champions of each Division will be crowned and presented a suitable award. Multiple champions will receive one award properly inscribed. In the event of a tie for a winner in any division, co-champions will be declared. Singles event champions will receive a paid entry into the Ohio State Seniors Tournament in appropriate age division. If Division D champion is 50 ± 54 years of age then the free entry will go to the next highest finisher ages 55 ± 59. 12. Bowlers wishing to cross with certain other individuals must send entries in together. Pre-paid entries will be paired, when possible, by average. Walk In lane assignments will be assigned based on the order of sign up. 13. All errors must be reported within 24 hours after bowling. The GDUSBC number is 937-222-2695. 14. Bowlers will bowl on the date and time of their choice unless otherwise notified. To assure best choice of dates and times, early return of the entry form is encouraged.
