Overview of CDE’s and Coaches’ Commitment
CDE’s Commitment
1. Provide 4 face-to-face quarterly workshops for coaches throughout the 2017-2018 school year. Dates
are Aug 30, Oct 11, Jan 10, and March 7. Location is Metro-area. Topics covered include coaching
skills, PBIS technical knowledge, and implementation science.
2. Provide ongoing technical assistance to coaches through virtual meetings throughout 2017-2018.
3. Provide 4 days of PBIS within MTSS Training for school-based leadership teams. Dates are Sept 22,
Nov 17, Feb 23, and May 4.
4. Provide coaches with access to all training materials.
5. Provide additional technical assistance to coaches upon request.
6. Provide coordination and opportunities for networking among coaches.
Coaches’ Commitment

1. Dedicated FTE for providing coaching to schools for the implementation and sustainability
of universal/school-wide social/emotional/behavioral efforts.

2. Attend online meetings throughout the school year for networking, professional
development, and technical assistance from CDE.

3. Attend 4 quarterly, face-to-face workshops provided by CDE during the school year.

4. Identify at least 1 school to coach throughout the school year that will attend the 4 days of
PBIS within MTSS Training on Universal PBIS implementation. Space is limited, so each
coach may be limited to 4 or less schools for the Trainings.

5. Attend 4 days of PBIS within MTSS Training with your identified school(s) (dates listed
above).

6. Review the Overview of School Commitment with potential school’s or schools’ principal
and obtain initial agreement to participate in the Training Series by June 30th.

7. Complete the School-based Leadership Team Readiness Checklist with each of your
identified schools by Sept 15th.

8. Attend the monthly PBIS Leadership Team meetings with your identified school(s).

9. Obtain and submit Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) scores from your identified schools on an
annual basis in the Spring to CDE. Baseline will also be obtained at Day 1 of the Trainings.

10. Maintain regular, ongoing communication with CDE throughout the school year.
