Victorian Tennis Awards Coaching Excellence – Club or Centre Eligibility criteria Part-time and full-time coaches may apply. Only Tennis Australia qualified coach members operating at Tennis Victoria affiliated venues will be considered. Nominees may self-nominate or be nominated by another person. All applications will require a proposer, who must be the President, Secretary, Centre Manager or equivalent, to support the nomination. To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must:      Deliver quality coaching programs and provide pathways which cater for the needs of players within their community Have a strong relationship with the club/facility committee/management Be actively involved in his/her club/facility in growing the game of tennis Actively seek and foster positive relationships with local schools and the general community Provide opportunities for players to move from coaching programs to competitions and tournaments Selection Criteria The selection panel will consider the following in assessing nominations: No. i. Description The quality and variety of the coaching programs delivered to cater for the needs of players within the community including ANZ Tennis Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis. ii. Roles and responsibilities at Club/Centre and contribution to the community. iii. Total number of coaching participants in award period. iv. Pathways provided by coach for transition of players from schools to club, from coaching and competition (i.e intra- and/or inter-club competitions offered by coach). v. Percentage of coaching students playing competition tennis (i.e., can be any regular competition format). vi. Professional development opportunities accessed by coach and coaching staff. vii. Coaching business website, marketing and communication materials. All nominations for the 2016 Victorian Tennis Awards are to be submitted online via the links listed at http://www.tennis.com.au/vic/news-and-events/events/championships-dinner/victorian-tennis-awards. This document may be used to collate nomination information before submitting via the online form. Only information provided in the nomination forms and the supporting information attached to the submission will be considered by the selection panel. Tennis Victoria reserves the right to submit nominations for each award category. All decisions in relation to the 2016 Victorian Tennis Awards (including any questions in relation to eligibility) will be determined by the selection panel in its absolute discretion. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Timeline     Nominations close - 10am on Friday 15 April 2016 The award period is the year preceding nominations closing. All finalists will be notified in writing by Monday 2 May 2016 Awards will be presented at the Tennis Victoria Championships Dinner on Monday 27 June 2016 Requirements of award recipients Successful recipients may be required to participate in marketing and promotional activities in the 12 months following the award.
