Summer Term (first half)

PE is on Wednesday and Thursday, but please ensure your PE kit is always
in school as we sometimes need to change lesson days at short notice.
Spellings will be sent home to learn on a weekly basis. These will come
home on a Monday and will be tested in school on the Friday of the same
week.
Times Tables are tested on a weekly basis and children will bring their
scores home. Children need to practise these at home regularly. By the
end of Year 4 they will be expected to know all of their times tables up to
12x12.
Reading books – Please make sure books are brought into
school daily, as we regularly use these as part of our Reading
Workshop. Remember to keep reading every night. To help
understanding, ask your child to tell you about the story
plot, characters and their favourite part.
Can you help? We would welcome any ideas, suggestions or expertise that
you would like to share.
Upcoming Trips…
 17th June – Anderton Centre. The children will have a
fantastic opportunity to visit the Anderton Centre and take
part in various outdoor and adventurous activities. The cost
will be approximately £25. Please send out reply slips back ASAP!
 As part of our DT project, the children will be visiting Morrisons.
There will be no cost for this trip. More information will follow
shortly.
 If you wish to set up a payment plan early, please see Mrs Dearden in
the office.
If you have any questions, worries or concerns, please do not hesitate to
come into school to speak to me. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank you for your continued interest and support.
