Clubroot is a serious disease that can cause major yield loss. Implementing an integrated pest management system
using a hybrid with built-in resistance is an excellent tool to help manage the disease. Maximize and protect the
potential of your crop with InVigor L135C and InVigor L241C. Each hybrid has been engineered to help prevent the
development of clubroot.
CLUBROOT-RESISTANT CANOLA GENETICS
As part of an integrated pest management strategy for clubroot disease in canola, InVigor L135C and InVigor L241C
have been developed to be resistant to the predominant clubroot pathotypes identified in Canada at the time the
hybrids were registered.
In field environments, clubroot populations may contain or develop additional pathotypes, such as 5X; where
InVigor L135C, InVigor L241C and other clubroot-resistant canola hybrids with similar resistance profiles could
be susceptible.
New pathotypes may become dominant in the clubroot population if canola hybrids with similar resistance profiles
are used repeatedly in the same field. To maximize the durability of genetic resistance in canola hybrids, appropriate
integrated pest management strategies should be followed. Bayer supports the Canola Council of Canada’s
agronomic recommendations when growing these InVigor hybrids.

all trials are managed by real growers who use their own

monitored by the Market Development Specialist team to
ensure all applications (herbicide, fungicide and insecticide)
and swathing are appropriately timed. Every trial is replicated

another when grown at common sites.
