PLEASE NOTE: NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT The draw for both events will be available shortly before both events. The Mooroopna Golf Club event will be a 1.00pm Shotgun start. The Shepparton Golf Club event will be a 9.00am Shotgun start. CONDITIONS: The events will be played over 18 holes stroke play to combine for the 36-Hole Telstra Stores Junior Masters. TROPHIES: There will be trophies awarded to boys and girls in grades to be determined once entries are received. Note: A minimum of five players will be required for trophies to be awarded for a specific age/gender group. The Committee reserves the right to redefine age/gender groups should this situation occur. The player who wins a trophy in the overall section will be ineligible to win a trophy in their respective age/gender group. (No player will be permitted to win more than ONE trophy) TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: The committee shall consist of the Match Committee of the Shepparton Golf Club and Mooroopna Golf Club, or such members thereof as may be available. The Committee shall have the sole management and control of the tournament and full power at any time, to alter or vary any of the conditions. The decision of the Committee shall be final. ENTRIES: Entries will be restricted to amateurs who are members of clubs of the Victorian Golf Association, Women’s Golf Victoria or of Golf Clubs registered with such State or Overseas Associations as are affiliated with or recognised by this Association, or of clubs affiliated with the Victorian Golf League who hold a current Golf Australia (or equivalent) handicap not greater than 36 stokes (boys) or 45 strokes (girls) and who are under age of 18 years on the day of play. The Tournament Committee shall have the right to refuse the entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal, and to admit some players who do not meet the handicap qualifications. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 8th of January 2016. The Tournament Committee shall have the power to limit the number of entries. In the event there are more entries than can be accommodated in the field a ballot for positions will be conducted. Exemptions exist in some cases. Entry fees must be paid at the time of entry. Fax entries will only be accepted with valid credit card authorisation received before the closing of entries. Refunds will NOT be made for scratching’s notified after the closing date of entries. RULES: The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition rounds are being played. If a dispute arises it shall be decided by the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final. Provided however that the committee if in doubt shall have the right to refer any such dispute to the Council of the Victorian Golf Association whose decision shall be final. The following local rule will apply during the tournament: “If a player arrives at his starting point ready to play within 5 minutes after his starting time, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification, as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes maybe disqualification.” The Committee has the power to temporarily alter a player’s handicap in accordance with the Australian Handicapping System. TIES: In the event of a tie in the Boys or Girls open gross events over 18 holes, a sudden death playoff commencing at the 10th hole will decide the winner. This play off will commence as soon as practicable after the return of the final scorecard. In all other events the winners and runners up will be determined using the Australian count-back system as specified by the Golf Australia. SCORECARDS: Completed and signed cards must be returned within 15 minutes of finishing the round. Failure to hand in a card within the appointed time will result in a “No Card Returned” entry. Current handicaps must be entered on all scorecards at commencement of play. PROTESTS: Any protests must be lodged in writing with the Tournament Committee not later than 10 minutes after conclusion of the day play. GOLF CARTS: Only those persons authorized to use a motorised cart may do so. Specific written permission must be sought from the VGA or WGV match committee. DRAW: A draw for play will be made by the Tournament Committee, which has the power to amend the draw or substitute another player for one who is not on the tee at the appointment time. It may also alter the starting time for any player. Competitors must be ready on the tee at least ten minutes before the appointed start time. In the event of bad weather, or for any other reason, the Tournament Committee may either shorten the Tournament or appoint another day for play.
