PART 11: SCRATCH Assignment 1: Name Animation:
1. Open Scratch from your desktop.
2. Click New Sprite. Select Letters. Select the first letter of your name. Click ok.
3. Click New Sprite. Select Letters. Select the second letter in your name. Click ok.
4. Continue to add new sprites for each letter of your first name.
5. Click and drag the letters on the stage to rearrange them to spell out your name.
6. Click File – Save As. Go to your g:drive and open your Tech Ed folder. Call it Name
Animation. Click Save.
7. Click the first sprite. Click Events category. Select when green flag is clicked. Drag the
block over to the script area.
8. Click the Looks category. Find change color effect by 25.
Drag the block under when the green flag is clicked. You can
change the color or the time by playing with the settings. There
are other cool animations for you to try. Create a cool
animation for your letter.
9. I like to make mine change forever but you can play with the control categories.
10. Click the second sprite (second letter in your name. Click Events category. Select when the
green flag is clicked. Drag the block over to the script area.
11. Click the Looks category. Find change color effect by 25. Drag the block under when the
green flag is clicked. You can change the color or the time by playing with the settings. There
