Tigard Football Players- February 12, 2015 I hope school is going well for you. We are finished with the first half of the year and I want to remind all of you that in order to be a successful athlete, one must also be successful in the classroom and be respectful to your teachers and fellow students. Each year, we unfortunately have a few young men who cannot play football or be involved in athletics because they either did not do the job in their classes, or because they got in trouble at school. I know you understand it is important to do what your coach tells you to do at practice. It is equally as important to do what your teachers tell you to do, and work hard on your Math, English, Social Studies, etc. Also, we want our football players and athletes to be leaders in school. We want you to be positive examples for all the students. Another reason for this letter is to let you know the schedule of football activities so your family can make their summer plans. The Tigard Football Calendar that applies to you is on the next page. High school players please note the best times for families to vacation. I will be following you develop as a student and athlete!
