Raphael Ebenhoch has recieved a prize from Vattenfall!

Raphael Ebenhoch, an exchange student from the University of Stuttgart who did his
M.Sc. thesis at the Fluid Physics Laboratory, KTH Mechanics has been awarded
second place and 10 kSEK in the Vattenfall Energy Award 2015 competition. His
master thesis, supervised by Dr. Antonio Segalini (STandUP for Wind and Linné
FLOW Centre) is entitled “Simplified modelling of wind-farm flows”. In the thesis a
linearized model to characterise the velocity field over wind farms is proposed. The
model was validated against, and showed good agreement with, experimental windtunnel data provided by Jan-Åke Dahlberg (Vattenfall Vindkraft AB). We
congratulate with Raphael for this achievement.
