Congratulations on taking the first step to becoming a Link Crew leader. Link Crew is an
organization designed to help freshmen transition to the high school. Link Crew leaders give
freshmen the skills and support necessary to make the most of their high school careers. Go to the
“Student” tab on the Chanhassen High School internet site. Submit your completed application
essay and a $20 activity fee to any house office by the end of the day on Friday, May 15th. Your
fee will be returned if you do not get accepted into the program. Current Link leaders need to reapply to be considered for another year of leadership.
Your commitment to our school is greatly appreciated. As a Link Leader you will be required to
attend these events. Please make sure that you are willing and able to fulfill these requirements
before you apply:
 Link Leader Information Session: Wednesday, June 3rd 1:10 PM (we have a shortened school day
this day because of finals schedule) in the Forum. At this session we will go over details regarding
expectations, summer dates, t-shirts, and will set up our communication plan.
 Link Leader Training: Tuesday, August 18th AND Wednesday, August 19th from 1-5 pm in one of
the auxiliary gyms.
 Contact your freshmen before orientation day!
 Freshmen Orientation: Monday, August 31st from 7:00 a.m.-noon (first day of school)
 Check in with your freshmen during the whole year!
 Facilitate TWO freshmen advisories: Thursday, October 22nd and Thursday, December 17th. This will
be during the first part of advisory.
If you cannot commit to the required dates, times, and commitments, please do
not apply to become a link leader.

CNHS. This money will not be refunded after June
5th. Scholarship money and/or fee waivers are
