(PEC) dashboard

PEC Dashboard
Introduction
This guide explains the ‘PEC dashboard’ area within NHS Jobs. Users with permission to access the
PEC dashboard can access it from the left-hand navigation menu after logging in.
This guide is intended for users with ‘Manage applications (HR)’ permission, so typically Recruitment
Officers, System Administrators, or Recruitment Team Managers. There is a separate guide for users
who manage applications as a Recruiting Manager.
Overview
The ‘PEC dashboard’ provides the ability for the recruitment team to view all applications that are in
the pre-employment checks state without having to go into each vacancy separately.
Access to the PEC Dashboard
Users with ‘Manage applications (HR)’ or ‘Manage applications (Recruiting manager)’ permission will
have access to the PEC dashboard. These permissions are associated with the following system roles
by default:
Recruitment Officer
System Administrator
Recruitment Team Manager

Viewing the Status of the Pre-employment Checks
The pre-employment checks that are shown will depend on the status of the application.
As you can see from the image below, applications that are ‘Shortlisted’ or in an interview state will
have only the References and ID checks activated.
Applications that have an offer status will have the DBS, Alert, Declarations, Registration,
Occupational Health and Qualifications checks activated.
Applications that have reached a status of offer accepted or later will also have the ‘Final Prep’ check
activated.

For further information about pre-employment checks, please refer to the Pre-employment checks
guidance document which can be found with the other Recruitment Officer training materials.
Taking Application Actions via the PEC Dashboard
It is possible to take application actions via the PEC dashboard. The actions available will be the
same as you would have available by selecting the ‘Actions’ button from the list of applications, and
can be taken in relation to a single application, or a group of applications.
Please note however - the PEC dashboard displays applications from multiple vacancies. Group
actions can only be performed against applications from the same vacancy.
If you attempt to perform a ‘group action’ where the applications selected are from more than one
vacancy, the following message will be displayed and you will need to return to the previous page
and amend your selection of applications.
