Bake cookies for the annual Portal Bake
Sale. **Please note: due to the way the
bake sale falls this year we will need to
have our annual baking event on Tuesday
November 29th. This is the last week in
November instead of the first in December.
There will not be a meeting on December
6th.
Watch the hilarious classic as a couple
struggles to herd together a group of actors
for an annual pageant. This delightful and
fun story includes many favorite Christmas
Carols. Before the musical we will enjoy
dinner at Red Robin.
If you enjoy comedy and improvisation this
show is for you! Watch as two teams
compete for the most laughs in good
humor. Before the show we will have
dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.
Watch this Christmas Classic at First Stage
Theater in Milwaukee. Before the play we
will have brunch at Café 1505.

**Individuals will be given a 5 day grace period following disbursement of the Activity Confirmation letters to cancel out of an activity without being
charged a cancellation fee. If you cancel after the five days, you will be responsible for a cancellation fee of $3.00 plus the billed cost of the event, unless a
replacement can be found from the waiting list. An exemption may be made for medical and emergency situations. These situations will be evaluated
individually on their own merit.

The annual Art Applause Sale will be held in the Portal, inc. lobby on Dec. 9th from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Prices of art work range from $0.50 - $25.00
Friday, December 16, Special Friends Dance
7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Legion Hall in Mequon on Mequon Road
Cost: $5.00 payable at the door. Snacks and beverages sold at the dance.
Recreation Volunteer Highlight – Terry Wester
My name is Terry Wester and I have been employed since 1975 with the Ozaukee County Clerk of Courts Office. In August 2010 an individual from Portal, began
an internship in the office and I was chosen to be her mentor. It was this individual, her Job Coach and my co-worker who suggested I become a volunteer with
the Portal Recreation Department. I have been a volunteer since October 2011 with the Portal Recreation Department. I have been part of so many memorable
events, especially the Portal Prom. I found being a mentor and volunteer to be very rewarding and a life changing experience. I became very good friends with
the woman I mentored and I was Maid of Honor at her Wedding in September 2015. I also belong to a Red Hat group of ladies called the Red C'Hatters and go on
many fun social events. I enjoy photography and I am one of the volunteer Photographers at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Once again, Portal will decorate a Christmas tree for the Grafton Plaza Holiday Event. The theme this year is “Christmas Trees and Memories” so we need your
help! Here is what you can do:
 Write down a favorite holiday memory or tradition:

 Donate or create an ornament that represents a memory or tradition
 Bring in a picture (copy) from a favorite holiday memory that we can put on the tree
**Please note that the pictures will be outside and exposed to the elements, please give a copy of the original.
 Donate Christmas tree supplies that you have to support the theme.
Please return any supplies or written memories to Michelle Henry by November 11th. The Tree will be up from November 21 – January 6 at the Grafton Plaza.
