Overview of the Pro Tour Series - (October 2012 to April 2013) The Pro Tour is a series of Beach Touch Football events held across 10 iconic Beaches in Australia. The Australian Beach Touch Pro Tour is an International first in the community of Touch Football. It is an exclusive series of events that are available to teams that are made up of Beach Touch Pro Tour members. In 2012-2013 there are 2 levels of Pro Tour Events. ‘AA’ - Events are open to all players ‘AAA’ – National Pro Tour Final. Event entry is through accruement of points from ‘AA’ Events. Points are allocated to teams based on their finishing position at any given tournament. Example: Teams that have a high finishing position at an “AA” event will receive enough points to qualify to participate at the National Final “AAA” event. Teams that fail to attain a high placed finish at an “AA” event can attend another “AA” event to accrue further points, to attain the necessary level for qualification to a “AAA” event. As teams progress from “AA” to the “AAA” tournament, they move closer to the ultimate prize of being crowned the World Beach Touch Champions and a slice of the $10,000 in prize money on offer. The Pro Tour will be contested in 4 divisions. Men’s and Women’s Open – Open to all ages Under 20’s Boy’s and Girl’s – To be eligible, players must be 20 or younger on the 1st January 2013.
