 All Team Entries must be submitted online via EnterNOW by 11.59pm 11th April 2017.
 Those teams with 1A/1B/1C promotion/relegations should enter in their highest possible grade.
Those who lose their promotion/relegation match will be relegated to the lower grade following
that match.
 Any schools outside of the Auckland Rugby boundary wishing to compete in grades (other than
WAK 5th grade) will need to seek dispensation from their Rugby Union and also ASSRU Executive
Chairman Brett Kingstone.
Team Registration
 Premier team lists (1A & 1B) must be submitted using the Premiers tab in EnterNOW by 11.59pm
11 April 2017.
 All other team player lists can be entered into EnterNOW, but additional information will be
requested by the ARU. For teams that have entered, a link will be sent on the 12 th April and will
open for teams to enter the required player information before the due date 26th May.
Team Management
All teams must have a teacher or adult with them at every game. This person is to complete the team
sheet before and after the game where needed, be aware of any medical problems of players in the
team, implement the rules of the competition, and supervise the players. Teams without supervision
may lose by default.
Rules
In conjunction with the College Sport Bylaws, please refer to the ASSRU Constitution, Bylaws & Rules
of Competition Handbook, where you will find rugby specific game rules, grade’s age limits and
weights restrictions and increments.
Referees
 The Auckland Rugby Referees Association endeavours to appoint official referees to all fixtures,
however if no referee has been appointed or the appointed referee does not turn up, it is the
responsibility of the host school to appoint a suitably trained person - this person must have
completed a minimum of either an Associate Referee within the last 3 years and completed the
current year’s Rugby Smart course.
 If no suitably trained person can referee the game, the game must not be played and teams will
not receive any competition points for the game. Schools must refer to ASSRU By-law 6 Defaults,
Forfeits & Rescheduling Matches
 In cases where the ARU appointed referee does not turn up, the host school should notify Cody
Nielsen at the Auckland Rugby Union on the Monday following the game.
