Vallivue Baseball Inc. has set the dates for registration for our summer baseball programs.
Single A baseball: With the addition of Ridgevue High School the decision has been made to split the summer program into
two separate Single A legion teams; the Vallivue single A legion team will be coached by Vallivue H.S. head coach Justin
Schneidt and his assistants and the Ridgevue single A legion team will be coached by Ridgevue H.S. head coach Ryan Abel and
his staff. This provides an excellent chance for the players in our district to receive high level coaching that will prepare them
for the high school season ahead. The single A programs will be competing against a mix of 5A-4A and 3A teams from across
the valley – not to mention tournaments.
Double AA baseball: Unfortunately, with the large numbers of seniors graduating throughout the district this year and the
relatively low number of high school varsity players returning for the summer, we’ve been forced into the decision not to
sponsor our AA legion team. The numbers from both Ridgevue and Vallivue simply could not support a team. IMPORTANT –
Those players that wish to compete at the AA level may choose to try-out for the AA legion team that is nearest to their
domicile. (Likely Caldwell, Nampa or Columbia – identified using MapQuest). The AA legion team that is nearest to the player’s
domicile has the ability to restrict the player from competing at another AA team further from the player’s home. A waiver
must be requested from that nearest program if the player should choose to try-out at another AA team. A try-out does not
guarantee making one of these AA teams. If a player fails to make one of the AA teams yet still wants to compete at the Single
A level, the player must return to the Vallivue or Ridgevue single A team for summer competition.
Jr. Legion Baseball: Vallivue and Ridgevue high schools will combine to form a Jr. Legion program. This program will limit the
number of players for the summer to maximize playing time and potential. The team will most likely be coached by a
combination of high school Jr. Varsity coaches and returning college players. This opportunity represents a significant “step-up”
in competition from the “club” team that competed this past spring. This provides an excellent stepping stone to high school
baseball for those players entering high school or wishing to improve their skills in preparation for the 2018 High School
seasons at both Vallivue and Ridgevue.

Ridgevue Single A and Jr. Legion registration – May 9th 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Ridgevue Baseball Field



May 22nd and 23rd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vallivue H.S. Baseball Field (Vallivue A)
May 22nd and 23rd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridgevue H.S. Baseball Field (Ridgevue A)
Jr. Legion tryouts will be held on May 24th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vallivue H.S. Baseball Field.
