IEEE Standards University:
Six Tracks
1.On-Line University Experience Track: Pulling all websites
under one umbrella to greatly increase web traffic and improve
navigation by.
COMPLETED
2. Publication Track: IEEE Standards Education e-Magazine is
the flagship publication; publication of research articles in
existing IEEE journals is another goal.
COMPLETED
3. Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Track: The MOOC,
entitled “Innovation and Competition: Succeeding
through Global Standards,” will help students develop a
skillset around technical standards that enables them to
compete more effectively in the global economy.

4.Standards Education Video Channel Track: Includes
technical videos, interviews, Guest Lecture Series, eLearning
modules.

knowledge of standards.

Standards MOOC:
Innovation and Competition: Succeeding
through Global Standards Development
The MOOC on Innovation and Competition: Succeeding
through Global Standards will offer a practitioners’ view
of standards and standards development aimed at graduatelevel students and educators in the fields of engineering,
technology, and computing (ETC), business, economics, and
law.
Complete: Trial run, most filming of anchor professor,
promotional video (by end of year), most tests and ancillary
materials, some SME filming.
To be completed in January: Balance of filming of anchor
professor, rest of SME filming, final tests and ancillary
materials.
“Build” of MOOCs will begin in January-February.
Course opens in March 2016.
