Green Dragons V Norwich City B
Slow start, took a while to get into their stride.
There were times that the Green Dragons were the stronger team and were unlucky not to get the goal that would
have won them the game. The Dragons were now starting to take control of the game with some nice passing which
enabled them to use the width of the pitch with Alice Martin and Jodi Rump having a great game in midfield. The
Dragons seemed to finish the game very strong having showed the same strong form as the previous tournament in
Harleston. Unlucky to get the No Score Draw.
Score: Green Dragons 0 - 0 Norwich City B
Green Dragons V Harleston Magpies
An incredibly close match with the Green Dragons really up for this one!. This team is now taking shape showing that
they are soon going to be the 'team to beat!'. Both teams doing a lot of running off the ball to make space for each
other, the Magpies coming close in the first few minutes with Molly Finnegan making a great save in goal to keep the
Magpies at bay. Lara Taylor was working extremely hard in defence, making an outstanding block to keep the Green
Dragons in the game. Then it was the turn of the Green Dragons pushing to get a goal, but were unfortunate not to
get the break through which they deserved.
Score: Green Dragons 0 - 0 Harleston Magpies
Green Dragons V Pelicans
After two very close games Green Dragons started very strong. They pushed very hard with every player coming
together and playing extremely well. Great passing and movement from Meredith Winship enabled the break
through they deserved with Aspen Gilvey scoring their first goal. The pelicans seemed to have had their beaks ripped
off when another fluent passing move set up Charlotte Gundry to score the second goal of the game and put the
Green Dragons into the semi finals.
Score: Green Dragons 2 - 0 Pelicans
Green Dragons V Norwich City A
Oops not sure what happened during this game but the Green Dragons were beaten before they got on the pitch!
The score line reflected what happened on the pitch with Norwich City cruising to an easy win. Speaking to the
young Green Dragons, I think a very big lesson has been learnt and I am sure it will not be repeated… The Green
dragons admitted that they thought that Norwich City were better than them and were definitely going to win.
After the match I think they released, that they needed to be positive in order to beat the opposition.
Score: Green Dragons 0 - 3 Norwich City A
Green Dragons V Dereham
The Dragons were now looking to this game, with the thought that they could beat Dereham, the result of this match
would decide who finishes third or fourth! This was an excellent display of team spirit. Although the Dragons lost the
game by a single goal they were in no way beaten. It was end to end action with the Dragons defending brilliantly
and then attacking. It was just so unluckily that Dereham took the lead to go on to win the game. The girls had
worked really hard and maybe should have had the reward of third place! Unlucky girls, but really impressed with
your skill and team spirit.
Score: Green Dragons 0 - 1 Dereham
Well done to all the girls and good luck with the next tournament.
Gemma Rump has the makings of a great team and I genuinely feel that this bunch of young Dragons can go on to
something quite special.
Player of the tournament for me was quite difficult to pick as all the girls were outstanding and showed what brilliant
team spirit they have.
However, if I looked back at the tournament as a whole and picked out a special moment, then it would be when
Lara Taylor some how got a tackle in against the Harleston Magpies, which was simply superb, to keep the dragons
in the game.
Well done girls, bring on the next tournament….

Our first match was against Norwich City 1st. Their team was great so we knew that it was going to be tough
however we handled difficult situations well and Logan Gilvey did some great clearances of the goal. Unfortunately
we lost 0 - 3
Next we played Pelicans 1st. Charlotte Carr was running up and down the pitch trying her hardest to keep the ball
down our attacking end. Harriet Marlee made a few great interceptions when it was needed. Unfortunately we lost 0
- 2.
We then played Magpies 2. We all played brilliantly and Annabelle Hodgson very nearly scored but unfortunately
their defense was too good Sofia, who has never played in goal before, made some cracking saves at goal - only one
got through. The final score was therefore 0 - 1. This was by far our best match as everyone played outstandingly.
Finally we played Dereham. They had some very big hitters which made all of us feel a little wary. However, Scarlett
Udy managed to still play her best. She continuously tried to get the ball to our attacking end. Logan Gilvey was very
brave as a ball came at great speed hitting her knee hard. The end score was 0-3
Our finishing position was 9th .

Isaac Diver Hall (captain)
Oliver Hunt
Raphie Connors Beckett
Sam Reynolds
A hectic start saw us on the back foot,
defending desperately in the first game and
conceding some unnecessary goals, but we soon regrouped and put up a much more robust defence. Tireless
tackling from Raphie and Harvey helped keep us in the games but it wasn’t until the last match, against Pelicans, that
we managed our first win, with Isaac and Arjuna combining well up front to squeeze one in the corner. Sam was
excellent at tracking back and put in some fine clearances to help us hold on to this lead. The match against Dragons
Browns was a furious and scrappy affair, with Greens fighting hard and hassling their attack well, but the pressure
was just too much and we conceded the one goal.
Well done everyone for a stirling effort and the superb win at the end helped make it all worthwhile.

Following our successful tournament at Harleston
hopes were high.
The first match was against Dereham. Following some sustained pressure and good play 2 goals were scored by
Cameron
and JAMES
to secure victory, to get us off to a good start.
The next was a tough game against Norwich Dragons green which ended 1-0 to us with Jake scoring the vital
goal.
Another tough game against Harlston Magpies ended 0-0 to leave the group wide open with final games against
Pelicans and Norwich City.
The game against Pelicans consisted of Dragon attack after Dragon attack but we could not score. Pelicans then got a
break away goal but not to be denied James scored on the bell to snatch a deserved draw 1-1.
It came then down to the final match against Norwich City. City scored an early goal from a short corner and as much
as we tried we could not get one back, leaving the final score 1-0 to City.
In the final standings we ended another successful tournament in 3rd place.

Our first game of the tournament was against Harleston Magpies A. We were not able to play to our full potential as
for half the match we did not have a goalkeeper and we unfortunately hadn't had enough time to warm up and sort
out a formation. This lead to a 2-0 defeat.
Our next game was against Pelicans who played well and beat us 1-0.
We then played a strong Norwich City side who played some outstanding hockey and won 5-0.
Next we faced Harleston Magpies B. We played some good hockey and Angus scored leading to our 1-0 victory.
The final game was against Dereham. We were now feeling more confident and played well as a team. Some great
hockey led to us scoring 5 well worked goals into the Dereham net, conceding none (scorers Harry Smith, Harry
Williams, Jono).
Well done to all the boys who played very well under tricky circumstances.

Despite some displays of solid defending most notably by Jemima Watson, Dragons went down 1-0 to Pelican’s in
their first match. Dragons made some good counter attacks by Stella Windsor-Waite and Mia Bailey in mid-field, but
were unable to convert these opportunities.
The second match saw a much more confident performance by Dragons with several shots on goal by Octavia Udy
and Sasha Armstrong narrowly missing. Dragons continued to keep up pressure on the Dereham defence and were
rewarded with two penalty corners, but frustratingly were unable to find the net.
In the next match Dragons took on a very strong Magpies side, which saw them go 1-0 down early on. Without luck
on their side and despite their best efforts Dragons were unable to find the elusive equaliser to get them back in the
match.
In the final match a good overall team performance secured a 0-0 draw with Norwich City. Some superb goal keeping
by Tilly Connors-Beckett ably assisted by Zarina Duffield in defence helped to keep the young Dragons in the game
and finish in 4th position overall.
