Family Game Night at
High Plains Community
April 16, 2015
On April 16th, High Plains Community
elementary students and their parents were
invited to a Family Game Night at the Polk
Elementary gymnasium. HPC elementary staff,
in cooperation with Fat Brain Toys of Omaha, hosted game night so students and
parents were able to come and enjoy an evening of playing a wide variety of games
that challenged players to use their critical thinking skills. Games focused on an
assortment of quick-thinking strategies and were for ages three all the way to upper
elementary. Everyone seemed to enjoy the night as they
gathered at tables where they could explore 16 different games.
An added bonus of this year’s family night was the opportunity
for families to purchase games that their children enjoyed so the
learning didn’t have to stop once the evening ended. Through
everyone’s support that attended and purchased games, every
elementary teacher was able to receive a learning game for
students to keep on enjoying in their classrooms! Thanks to
everyone who came out and enjoyed the evening at Family Game
Night!
