OVERALL NUMBERS:
All weekly academy practices will be for individual teams only. We have
enough hours rented for:
6 total teams
(2 U19 and 4 U16 or 3 U19 and 3 U16, depending on interest from
returning FHL players)
REGISTRATION PROCESS:
For this reason, our registration process will be slightly different this
year. Please read the below instructions and let us know if you have any
questions:
Defined Terms: "returning vs new"
Returning Athlete is anyone who participated in any TWO (2) of the
following in the last 12 months:
* 2015/2016 Winter Indoor Academy (Training and local tournaments
(Cbus and Miami) only)
* 2015/2016 NIT Qualifying Team
* 2015 Festival Team
* 2016 President's Showcase Team
* 2016 Spring Academy
* 2016 Spring Elite Teams (JPOL participant)
* 2016 Beach Bash Team
New Athlete is anyone who participated in ONE (1) or none of the above
in the last 12 months.
** If you are unsure if you attended more than 2 of the above
events/academies in the last 12 months, please contact FHL to confirm.
REGISTRATION DATES:
1. 10/4 - 10/19: Returning Player Registration
On October 4th, registration will open for "returning players"
first. Registration will close at 10PM on 10/19! It is important that you get
your registration done in this timeframe or you will lose your spot. If you
are unable to play the academy tuition fee in full, please contact FHL
immediately to set-up a payment plan.
2. 10/20 - 11/5: New Player Tryout Registration
On 10/20 at 12 noon, we will open "new player" tryout registration. New
Players will pay a $60 tryout fee. After 11/19, those players selected to a
team will be required to pay the remaining balance.
We are asking that the remaining balance be paid 7 days after the teams
are announced in order to save your spot. If you are unable to play the
full remaining academy tuition, please let FHL know immediately following
the release of the teams to set-up a payment plan.
Should you register as a "returning athlete" but FHL does not have record
of participation in at least 2 of the listed events in the last 12 months, we
will contact you to confirm and if it is a mistake, you will immediately be
reimbursed and asked to wait until 10/20 to register as a new player.
ACADEMY TEAM TRYOUTS:
November 12 and November 19
Tryouts and team placement will happen at the first two practices (Nov. 12
and Nov 19). All athletes (returning FHL players and new players) are
required to be at the first two practices. FHL will send out the exact time
slot for training on Nov 12 and Nov 19 the week of November 7th. After
the 19th, we will be announcing the teams and your team's exact training
block. Once the teams are named, all team trainings will be held between
11am - 9pm on Saturday's during a two hour team training block to be
determined after tryouts.
