The Role
The main focus of a Success Coach is to work with other mentors and program personnel toward
improving student outcomes, increasing engagements (mentor and student), and alerting key
internal personnel as issues arise. The Success Coach proactively develops and maintains strong
relationships with Edgenuity customer mentors. The Success Coach may alert account managers to
escalated issues and general questions through the life cycle of the program as raised by the
mentors of the school. Additionally, this role may provide occasional one on one training to customer
personnel. Strong communications (oral and written), organizational skills, assertiveness, ability to
work in a changing environment, self-starting, and ideas for improvement will assist a success coach
in this role.
Essential Functions









Proactively reach out to client personnel regarding customer engagement with the program.
Work closely with Instructional Services registrar, teachers, Edgenuity coaches, account
managers, and client personnel (mentors, administrators, coordinators), from onboarding and
start-up support through program health discussion and general check-ins.
May reach out to students directly in coordination with the school to assist with improving
student outcomes.
May assist with kick off calls, outlining processes and procedures, expectations, and involve
other team members as needed.
Review and understand general information in the student information systems.
Assist/coach mentors, admins, and other personnel with using the student information
system, understanding data, and provide assistance or training as needed.
Assist with or request lightweight data entry tasks as needed.
Participate or conduct training sessions or one on ones with program mentors,
administrators, teachers, and students to ensure understanding and functionality of the
program.
Coordinate necessary documents as needed such as graduation plans, transcripts, diplomas,
enrollment forms, and more depending on the nature of the program.

Ensure IS registrar has documents needed and students continue on path of success.
Communicate with clients as needed to obtain documents or discuss questions, concerns, and
issues.
Performs other duties upon request.
Qualifications, Education and Experience













High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred.
Experience in customer service preferred.
Two year’s work experience with middle and high school aged students as a counselor,
teacher or other academic/social youth program organizer preferred.
Previous work experience with at-risk students or social counseling preferred.
Previous volunteer experience with students such as young adults or at risk students
preferred.
Experience in education helpful.
Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work through and accept change internally and externally.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to
handle multiple priorities with demanding time frames.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality resultsdriven, team oriented environment.
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
Able to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or provide proof of application within 7
days (upon hire).
Physical Demands and Work Environment



Regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle, feel and operate computers and
other office equipment.
Work environment is in an office with moderate noise and no exposure to environmental
elements.
Occasionally lifts or exerts force up to 15 lbs.
